Mike Cherney

Vicar, Edna Campus

Mike Cherney is in his third year of seminary training, serving as “vicar” (intern) at Redeemer. Born in Brazil where his father served as missionary, Mike has lived in a number of places since. He and his wife Ana are proud to call Edna, TX home during his internship year, and look forward to welcoming their first child into the world in January, 2018. Ana works remotely for a physical therapy clinic, and the couple enjoys practicing their Spanish, lifting weights, TV sitcoms, coffee, music, and pizza. Mike is thrilled to be able to serve the people of Edna and Victoria through Redeemer Lutheran Church.
